Masks

Respiratory masks are indispensable tools in the medical care of patients with respiratory diseases or during ventilation and respiratory therapy, as they establish a direct connection between the device and the patient. The patient requires this interface to ensure an effective air supply and respiratory support.

Types of masks

Vented and non-vented masks

are further subdivisions of the above-mentioned mask types. Non-vented masks are closed systems in which exhalation can only take place when a valve controlled by the device is opened. This type is mainly used in a clinical environment and for 24-hour ventilation. Vented masks are the most common form used in the home and for respiratory therapy. Instead of a controlled exhalation valve, exhalation takes place passively via an integrated leakage valve.

Nasal masks:

Nasal masks are placed over the patient’s nose and offer a comfortable fit for a variety of face shapes. They are ideal for patients who breathe primarily through the nose, maintaining the comfort of speaking and eating.

 Mouth-nose masks:

Oro-nasal masks cover the patient’s nose and mouth. They are versatile and are particularly suitable for patients who tend to breathe through their mouth.

Nasal Pillow mask:

The Nasal Pillow mask offers maximum comfort and freedom. A particularly quiet expiration valve ensures silence, while a 360° rotatable tube connection and a pre-assembled flexible connection tube offer additional flexibility. Enjoy complete freedom of vision and movement when eating, drinking and speaking with this special shape of nasal mask, without any restrictions in your field of vision.
